Frequently Asked Questions

If this is a stricyly mono unit why does it have left and right inputs?

Even though a mono wireless monitoring system outputs in mono (single channel), it has left and right inputs for flexibility (you can choose to input signals into either the left or right channel for better audio management.) and compatibility (the two inputs on the monitoring system make it easier to connect to mixers and interfaces).

Since there are stereo inputs, can this unit work as either mono or stereo?

The PTM-22 is a mono wireless in-ear monitor system and it cannot work as a stereo IEM.

Can I use multiple units together? I need to monitor 6 artists at the same time.

This series supports multi-set operation with the following maximum simultaneous system configurations:

  • PTM-11 (500 MHz): up to 5 units
  • PTM-11 (500 MHz): up to 4 units
  • PTM-22 (900 MHz / 500 MHz): up to 2 units

If you would like to monitor 6 artists at the same time, we recommend you purchase one PTM-33 and one PTM-22 and split them into two frequency ranges, e.g, the PTM-33 in the 900MHz and the PTM-22 in the 500MHz.

Can you use two PTM-33s simultaneously? If so, do you have a list of acceptable group/channels to allow 8 channels at the same time?

For the PTM-11/22/33 series, we do not recommend using more than six channels simultaneously within a single frequency range. You can split the channels into two frequency ranges, e.g, one PTM-33 in the 900MHz and one PTM-33 in the 500MHz.
