Frequently Asked Questions

Which systems does the PMR-2 work with?

The PMR-2 is the bodypack receiver for the Phenyx Pro PTM-11, PTM-22 and PTM-33 in-ear monitor systems. Choose the frequency version that matches your transmitter — a 530–580 MHz receiver will not pair with a 902–928 MHz transmitter, or the other way around.

How do I pair the bodypack with the transmitter?

Point the infrared window on the bodypack at the IR window on the transmitter base unit and sync. Once paired, the channel and group numbers shown on the bodypack will match the transmitter.

How far from the transmitter can I walk?

Around 43–50 m (140–164 ft) in open space with clear line of sight. Walls, bodies, trussing and stage hardware all reduce that in practice, so allow margin for a busy stage.

Can I add extra receivers to one transmitter?

Yes. Every performer sharing the same mix listens on the same channel, so you can add PMR-2 bodypacks to an existing PTM transmitter without buying another base unit. If you need separate mixes, you need a separate channel — and we do not recommend running more than six channels within one frequency range.
