Important: an extra mic doesn't add a channel
Channels live on the receiver: two on an AIR-B2, four on an AIR-B4. A new transmitter takes over whichever channel you IR sync it to. So:
- If you want more people talking at once, you need more receiver channels (e.g. step up from AIR-B2 to AIR-B4).
- If you want a spare, or a different type of mic on an existing channel, buy an H1 or B1.
Buy the AIR-BX-H1 handheld if…
- A mic was lost, dropped or damaged and you need an identical replacement.
- You want a charged spare ready for long events — swap mics instead of waiting to charge.
- Guest speakers and singers prefer to hold a mic.
Buy the AIR-BX-B1 bodypack if…
- Your preacher, teacher or presenter needs their hands for notes, a Bible, a clicker or demonstrations.
- You run fitness classes, dance or drama.
- You're filming and want an invisible lapel mic.
- You want one kit that covers both styles — it includes a lapel and a headset.
Our most common recommendation
For churches and schools we usually suggest one bodypack per system: it goes on channel 1 for the main speaker, and the original handhelds cover everyone else. Add an AIR-BX charging dock — it holds one handheld and one bodypack side by side.

FAQ
Can I use the lapel and headset at the same time?
No — one bodypack transmits one mic. For two hands-free speakers, use two bodypacks on two channels.
How do I pair a new mic?
Select the channel on the receiver, start sync, and hold the mic's IR window near the receiver. Switch off the old mic that was on that channel.
